You select text or pick files in File Explorer, then press your shortcut — Alt+1 out of the box. With nothing selected, the screen capture tool opens instead. Zack KI picks up that content from almost any program, and the “Insert” button on a text block in the answer writes it back where your selection was.

Zack KI lets you work with selected text from your current app and insert the answer back there. That saves copying text and switching to your browser.

You get 500 credits to start with and 100 more each week. That covers Quick mode. Deep and web search are not part of it — those need Zack Basic or Zack Pro.

Quick suits short questions and text editing. Deep is intended for more involved tasks and may take more time and credits. Either can make mistakes.

Your chat history is stored locally. Online answers require sending the relevant text and attachments to the model provider. See the shared privacy policy for providers and retention.

Zack KI runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. There is no version for macOS or Linux yet.

Yes. Select the text and press Alt+3 to improve it or Alt+4 to fix errors. The result replaces your selection right in your app, without copying anything.

Supported formats include PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images and text files. Processing also depends on the file format, size and model.

Set a different shortcut in the settings. Clicking the Zack KI icon in the notification area also opens Zack KI exactly as if you had pressed the shortcut.

Zack KI stays available in the system tray so you can open it with a shortcut. You can also quit the app there.

Credits are the shared balance for Zack KI and Zack Typing. Usage depends on the model and amount processed, including audio duration for dictation.

The weekly allowance is set anew each week and does not carry over. The 500 starting credits and any credit pack you buy are exempt from that: they stay valid for 12 months.

Yes, you can switch at any time. The billing period starts again on the day you switch.

Through the cancellation form on this website or by email to hello@zack-ki.com. You do not have to sign in for the form; your email address is needed to match and confirm the cancellation. The confirmed end date depends on the term and cancellation rights; after the initial term, the notice period is no more than one month. During the first 14 days your right of withdrawal applies as well.

Payment and invoicing are handled for us by Paddle, our payment provider. That is why your bank statement shows Paddle rather than Zack KI, and the invoice arrives by email. Prices on the website are final prices including VAT.

Yes. With your own key, Zack KI stays free to use and consumes no credits; usage is billed to you directly by whoever issued the API key.

Yes. Check that you are permitted to send the texts, files and personal data to the provider you choose.

Our servers are in Germany. Your chats stay on your PC; we do not store them. Which services take part in producing an answer, and what they store themselves, is set out in the privacy policy.

The selected capture is sent to the model provider as an attachment. Locally it belongs to the chat. Provider retention follows that provider’s rules; see the privacy policy.

Sign in with an email link or Google. You do not need an additional password for your shared Zack account. Your free balance is associated with that account.

No, not by default. If you run into a problem, you can switch diagnostics on in the settings. We then receive technical reports without any of your chat content and can look into it.

At the bottom of Account you can export your server data or permanently delete the account after a final confirmation. An active subscription must be ended first. Local chats stay on your computer; for help contact hello@zack-ki.com.

SmartScreen may warn about installers that are not widely used. Check the source and publisher before running the file. See the notice and steps.

If you download Zack KI directly from this website, it updates itself. If you installed it from the Microsoft Store, updates arrive through the Store.

Use Windows Settings → Apps → Zack KI → Uninstall. Delete local chats and attachments in the app first if needed; uninstalling does not guarantee removal of all user data.
