Step by step
- Click “Show chats”, the second icon at the top left of the Zack KI window.
- Type a word you remember into “Search chats…”, for example a customer name or “invoice”. Without a search, chats are grouped into “Today”, “Yesterday”, “Last 7 days”, “Last 30 days” and “Older”.
- Click a chat to open it. It opens in the mode it last used, Quick or Deep.
- Ask your next question. The chat continues with the earlier messages as context.
- Right-click a chat in the list for “Rename”, “Copy chat” or “Delete chat”.
How do chats get their titles?
When you send the first question, the chat is named after it. After the first complete answer, Zack KI writes a short title of up to seven words from the question and the beginning of the answer. This uses a small amount of credits.
To change a title, right-click the chat and choose “Rename”. Your own title is kept.
Each row in the list shows the title, when you last used the chat, the number of messages and whether it ran in Quick or Deep.
How do I export a chat as Markdown?
Click “Copy chat” in the title bar, or right-click a chat in the list and choose “Copy chat”. Zack KI copies the whole conversation as Markdown: the date and title at the top, then each message under a heading for you or for Zack KI. Text you selected for a question is included as a code block; images are not copied.
Paste it into a note app, a .md file or an email. For a single answer, use “Copy answer”.
How long are chats kept?
Open “Settings” → “Advanced” → “History”. “Keep chats for” offers 7, 30 or 60 days or ∞ for no limit; the default is 30 days. The period counts from the last time you used a chat, so a chat you keep continuing stays. The chat that is currently open is not deleted.
Turn off “Save chats” if Zack KI should not keep new chats. To remove a single chat, right-click it, choose “Delete chat” and click again on “Really delete?”.
Where are my chats stored?
In the Zack KI app data on your PC, together with the attachments you sent. The Zack servers do not store your chats, so there is no copy in the cloud and no sync to another computer. More in what happens to your data.

Are regenerated answers saved too?
Yes. All versions of an answer stay in the chat. After reopening it, switch between them with the version arrows.
Why can’t I open another chat right now?
Zack KI cannot switch chats while an answer is running. Wait until it is finished, or click “Stop” first.
Can I turn off the automatic titles?
No. Each new chat gets one, which uses a small amount of credits. You can rename any chat afterwards.
Do I lose my chats if I delete my account?
No. Deleting the account removes your server data. Local chats stay on this computer until you delete them.
