In short
Select the file in Windows Explorer and press Alt+1, or drag it into the Zack KI window. Zack KI attaches it to your question, and you can have it summarized, explained or compared with a second file. Supported formats include PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images and text files.

- How to start
- Select the file in Explorer and press Alt+1, or drag it into the window
- Several files
- Yes, for example a quote together with a price list
Step by step
- Open the folder with the file in Windows Explorer.
- Select the file, or several files that belong together.
- Press Alt+1. Zack KI opens above Explorer and shows the files as attachments.
- Ask your question or choose a chip such as “Summarize” or “Explain”. Before sending, remove any attachment that does not belong to the question.
What can I ask about a file?
Anything you would ask a colleague holding the file. For example:
- “Summarize this contract in five points.”
- “Does this quote differ from our price list?”
- “Explain this table without jargon.”
- “Which deadlines are in this PDF?”
How long the answer is depends on your answer length. For long documents and comparisons, Deep takes more time, reasons in several steps and may answer at more length.
What happens to my files?
To answer, the attachments are sent to the model provider. For work files, check whether you may share the content with an outside service. More in what happens to your data.
Where are the limits?
Whether a file can be processed depends on its format, its size and the chosen model. If a file is too large, Zack KI says so and names the size limit.
If nothing is selected, Alt+1 opens the screen snipping tool instead. That way you can also ask about content that is not a file, such as an error message; see Ask AI about your screen.
