In short
Select the text and press Alt+4. “Fix errors” corrects spelling, punctuation and clear grammar mistakes with the smallest necessary edits and puts the corrected text in place of your selection. Your wording, sentence order and style stay as they are.

Step by step
- Finish writing. Then select the text you want checked, for example the body of an email.
- Press Alt+4. A small bar with “Fix errors” appears at the top of the screen while Zack KI works. Esc cancels.
- Leave the selection alone until the bar disappears. The corrected text then replaces your selection.
- Read the text once more before you send it. In most apps, Ctrl+Z brings back your original.
What does “Fix errors” correct, and what does it leave alone?
Its instruction is narrow on purpose: correct spelling, punctuation and unambiguous grammar errors with the smallest necessary edits, keep wording and sentence order, do not guess at ambiguous errors and do not rewrite for elegance. Names, technical terms, numbers, dates and links stay as they are, and so do line breaks and lists.
Example: “Their are two option for the meeting, we could meet tuesday or wensday.” can come back as “There are two options for the meeting; we could meet Tuesday or Wednesday.” The sentence keeps its shape. If nothing is wrong, the text comes back unchanged.
How is this different from a spell checker that underlines mistakes?
Zack KI does not mark mistakes while you type. It reads text only when you press a shortcut and then corrects the whole selection in one step. That fits the moment before you send something, and it works the same in Word, in a web form or in a chat window.
Because the AI reads whole sentences, it can also fix a correctly spelled but wrong word, such as “their” instead of “there”, when the intended word is clear. It can still miss a mistake.
Which languages does it work with?
“Fix errors” is not tied to a list of languages. It keeps the language of your text and corrects within it, so a German paragraph stays German. The Zack KI interface itself is in English or German.
For less common languages or texts that mix languages, check the result more carefully.
How do I see what was changed?
Alt+4 replaces the text directly. To compare first, press Alt+1 and click the “Fix errors” chip: the corrected text appears as a block in the Zack KI window, and “Insert” replaces your selection when you are happy with it.
If you want the mistakes explained, ask in your own words after Alt+1, for example “Which grammar mistakes are in this text?”
Related questions
Does Zack KI read my text while I type?
No. It only reads text when you press one of its shortcuts or send a question.
Can “Fix errors” follow our house style?
Yes. Add the rule to the chip’s instruction under “Settings” → “Chips”, for example “Always write ‘e-mail’ with a hyphen.” See Custom AI actions.
Can I check text I cannot select?
Paste or type it into the Zack KI input field and click the “Fix errors” chip. The corrected text appears as a block that you can copy.
